Meet The Green Blog Writers

Green. That word doesn't just refer to a specific color these days, it now refers to things much greater. Green now describes a set of values, a way of living, a political policy, and much, much more. When it is used in such a way, it is referring to an environmental movement that has risen to the forefront of cultural awareness in recent years.

As people begin to move beyond the color green and into the greater Green, the main questions that often arise are, "what does it mean to go green?", "why is it important to go green?", and "how do you go green?".

Well, my name is Jeffrey, and I'll be your tour guide. This is my adventure into those questions, in search of FUN, simple, creative, easy, and inexpensive ways to begin (or continue) living green!

I've found that many people become interested in going green for a plethora of reasons.

Personally, I've always been an outdoorsy, nature loving, kind of guy. Obviously, this is one facet that has fueled my interest in going green.

The good news is you don't have to be viewed as a weird tree hugger by all your friends in order to live a green life. Likewise, you do not have to empty your bank account, covering your roof in solar panels, installing components to harvest rainwater, or build a new house out of hay bales.

These are of course very good ideas and ways of beginning to go "off the grid", but what we'll mostly explore here is how you can take one simple, fun, exciting step at a time towards this end.

So, off we go, taking our first exciting steps together into living a greener life.
