That’s right, MNN.com relays some figures from the CDC that to date (as of yesterday), the swine flu has caused the death of 593 Americans and hospitalized another 9,000…yet the regular seasonal influenza usually hospitalizes 200,000 Americans and kills another 36,000.
As a matter of fact, 93% of readers who participated in TreeHugger’s swine flu poll said they thought the pandemic headlines were an overreaction.
