It’s Friday, and everyone needs a little laugh to get through the rest of the day, right?
Well in that case, this hilarious Greenpeace commercial promoting CFL’s is sure to make that afternoon coffee come shooting out of your nose.
Let me pause for a second while you regain your composure.
There now, have you stopped laughing yet?
Normally I’m not that big of a fan of Greenpeace’s overly radical tactics in getting their environmental message out, but this is one video that I can get behind.
Seriously though, I know that CFL’s (compact fluorescent lamps) and LED light bulbs cost way more than conventional incandescent lamps, but they actually do save a TON of money…and the payback can actually be pretty quick.
Take a look at the chart in this post about, for example. By spending $54 per bulb on LED light bulbs instead of $1.35 per incandescent bulb, you can save $674 a year!
Doesn’t make sense does it? Be sure to check out that chart and it will…I promise.
Feel free to check out more great info, products, and DIY projects for all your household lighting needs too. You may just find a great weekend project to tackle!
Yo. I’m Jeffrey. I think every little step is an awesome one when it comes to living green… but eco-snobbery sucks.
