Normally I’m not that big of a fan of Greenpeace’s overly radical tactics in getting their environmental message out, but this is one video that I can get behind.
Seriously though, I know that CFL’s (compact fluorescent lamps) and LED light bulbs cost way more than conventional incandescent lamps, but they actually do save a TON of money…and the payback can actually be pretty quick.
Take a look at the chart in this post about, for example. By spending $54 per bulb on LED light bulbs instead of $1.35 per incandescent bulb, you can save $674 a year!
