| Comments (1)

Did you know that today is America Recycles Day?

Chances are you did not.

Why not use today as the day to start taking simple steps towards living green--which we're all about here at The Fun Times Guide to Living Green.

Did you know:

  • Recycling a single plastic bottle provides enough fiber to make just over 10 t-shirts

  • Recycling a single aluminum can saves enough energy to power a tv for 3 hours

Where did I get those small yet startling nuggets of information?

From the National Recycling Coalition's interactive recycling calculator. Just follow the link and click on "Recycling Calculator".

Thanks to my friend Sam Davidson, co-founder of THE destination for anyone who wants to make a difference, CoolPeopleCare.org, for making me aware of this great tool to me.

Check out Sam's post to discover more simple yet astounding facts and ways to act. He, like myself, is all about taking the simple steps..."because there's no such thing as not enough time".
