Green Quick Tips
Ok guys, this one is mostly for us.
Raise your hand if you're the one who goes into the stall to avoid the row-o-urinals in public bathrooms.
Don't be shy...wait a tick, is that the reason you use the stall in the first place?
It's true, that shy bladder could be contributing to that carbon footprint in a big way.
No worries though mates, with all the interesting urinals out there, conserving water was never more fun.
Everyone sing it with me Alice Cooper style...
"School's...out...for...summa...
School's...out...for...eva..."
Summer time brings with it lots of great things like vacation, fun in the sun, and great green cookouts.
However, it can also bring with it some VERY frustrating schedule changes with school being out.
So how can you settle back into your routine and continue living green through the summer? Here's how...
Like anyone who is trying to live green, I have a problem with the speed with which the rain forests and every other forest on the planet for that matter are being cut down. One of the reasons of course that so many trees are being cut down in addition to the fact that humanity is expanding at an exponential rate, is our need for paper products, and one of those paper products are books.
I freely admit that I am a book junkie, and I have more paperbacks in my house than any one woman should own in a lifetime. The fact is I adore reading, and am a voracious reader, but this sometimes clashes with my concerns about the numbers of trees being cut down to provide me with my favorite vice.
Humans aren't the only ones who need good quality organic food to keep us healthy and strong.
Dogs do too!
Always use caution when acting as your pooch's personal chef, because lots of things yummy to us people are toxic to our four-legged friends.
No need to worry about that with this recipe, however, these frozen organic doggie treats will definitely please the pooches as the temperature rises.
Will gas prices ever cease their steep ascent into the stratosphere?
I wish we had the problem of the "high gas prices" in the picture to the left. Sheesh.
I barely even remember $1.93/gallon!!
Luckily, there are an almost infinite number of ways to get more miles out of each gallon of gas we rellunctantly buy.
Even better, is that many of them are absolutely free! What more can you ask than for to SAVE money without spending it?
Looking for ways to conserve some precious clean water this World Water Day (which is today)?
There are an infinite number of ways of simple, easy, and mostly free ways to do so.
Sure, the purpose of World Water Day is to conserve the commodity of fresh water on this planet, but are you a bad person if you don't?
Not in my opinion.
I'm simply here to pass on some ways to accomplish the "how" if water conservation today, or any other day, is something that moves you to action.
One thing is for sure, the reality of how valuable fresh water is sure was recognized by many of us here in the Southeastern US this past summer, with an unprecedented drought!
I can't imagine what it'd be like to live without it all the time.
Ah, Easter. The holiday that seems to ring in the unofficial start of spring.
You know, the easter egg hunts, the bunny rabbits, those toxins in your body...those are the days we live for.
Wait, toxins? Exactly. Many of our Easter practices are quite bad for our health and for the environment. Check out these fun, cheap ways to living green this Easter.
