Obama says Americans should inflate our tires to the proper level.
McCain says Americans should drill offshore.
Which plan is more beneficial?
Well, that depends on what you think is beneficial. If you think spending billions of dollars setting up offshore drilling that will further foster our dependence on fossil fuels, destroy marine life, and not make a difference until about the year 2030, then you should go the McCain route.
If you want a difference (environmentally AND financially) RIGHT NOW, today, for free, check out Obama's energy plan.
Here's a video that helps explain it, via ClimateProgress.org:
Are you an eco-minded consumer on the look out for products that are safe, non-toxic, fair trade certified, organic, etc?
If so, you're part of a group that spends about $45 billion annually on products for living green...but you probably don't go looking for those products on eBay.
Guess what, eBay has realized that. Will their new fair trade community and marketplace be all it's touted as, or will it be another case of consumeristic greenwashing?
Having a hard time finding fun and easy information on living green?
Mozilla's social media browser, Flock, rolled out it's Eco Edition yesterday on Earth Day.
I downloaded it and have been exploring it's features today and my official analysis is WOW!

The great american past-time of baseball is going green.
Up until now, I guess the Green Monstah at Fenway Park has been the greenest thing about baseball...but that's all a'changin'.

Now that's cool.
What's the newest item on the chopping block of bannings?
Disposable chopsticks.
The Wall Street Journal reported this morning that people all over China, from pop stars to environmental groups, are jumping on the bandwagon to ban disposable chopsticks.
When this story was first passed on to me, I thought, "Seriously, how big of an impact could they really have?".
So what kind of impact do they have, how many people's jobs depend on them, and just how big of an industry is it?
The answers will blow your mind--they sure did mine!
What's the least known corporation that's been offsetting its environmental impact for the last 14 years?
Answer: The NFL. Who knew? Obviously not me.
This year is actually the 2nd year in a row that the SuperBowl will run on 100% renewable energy. Wow, chock that up to yet another fact I didn't know.
I have to ask, why is the NFL not promoting this more and how else will this year's SuperBowl go green?
Let's find out...
Ever considered the environmental impact of one of your favorite team's games?
The Philadelphia Eagles have. They say,
"The major source of game-related CO2 came from travel activities and accommodations. Fans, media, and teams traveling by air, bus, and car will generate more than 10,900 tons of CO2--about 99% of the event's total carbon footprint."
