| Comments (1)

First a solar powered 6-in-1 transforming toy and now a solar powered climbing monkey?

Maybe I should just have deemed this "Awesome Solar Powered Toys Week". What do you think?

As far as toys go, it's tough to get much cooler than transformers...

...unless of course that transformer is actually 6 different solar powered toys in one!

Clean Coal: Reality or Myth or...Neither?

| Comments (4)

The clean coal debate has been raging on for several years now.

Can coal really be utilized for energy in a clean and responsible way or is that the dirtiest lie of all time?

Maybe it's time for a different perspective on that argument. Afterall, few things in life or so cut and dry.

Regardless of what side of the fence you find yourself on, you may leave this post with some questions about your position...

Free Non-Toxic & Organic T-Shirt From Cool People Care and Fun Times at the Green Living Expo

| Comments (0)

Last Friday I got to hang out at the Green Living Business Summit and Expo here in Nashville.

After successfully ducking out of some HORRIBLY boring panel discussions, I ran into some great green friends (and made some new ones)...and got them on camera to share with you!

First up is a video with Sam Davidson & Stephen Moseley, co-founders of Cool People Care, and Andy from Friendly Arctic Printing and Design.

Don't miss the quick instructions on how you can receive a FREE non-toxic, organic t-shirt from Cool People Care at the end of this video.

*UPDATE: Congrats to Kathy who won the free organic t-shirt from Cool People Care very shortly after this post went live!*

**On the horribly boring members of panel discussions note: This seems to be an unfortunate epidemic. I'd like to offer my services to fill in on eco-panel discussions in the stead of your blasé and droning panelists...geez, seriously?!**

...oh, and we were also able to catch up with Nashville Mayor, Karl Dean! Check it out!

Check out the interviews before the flip of the switch and also in the darkness after the jump...

Calling All Kids: Guilt Your Parents Into Earth Hour

| Comments (2)

earth-hour-kids.jpgOk kids, stick out that bottom lip, turn on the puppy eyes, and  guilt  encourage your parents to get your family involved in Earth Hour 2009!

As I mentioned before, in my warning about the steel chair weilding panda bears, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has an awesome Earth Hour Kids website!

I recently got to sit down with the man behind the Earth Hour Kids theme song (the one you hear playing on the Earth Hour Kids site), and he's got some great ideas to make Earth Hour 2009 FUN for the whole family!
