I’m not a very big fan of zoo’s or aquariums.
And neither are the animals that have been captured and live there.
You know what?
The animals are finally acting out about their distaste for being on display in captivity:

Animals On Display
I know, I know, some people will say that we have zoo’s and aquariums so we can experience animals from other parts of the world, or because they were an endangered species, or because their natural habitat was being destroyed, or some other pseudo-glamorous reason.
But for me, it just makes me sad. If we didn’t hunt them to extinction or destroy their natural habitats in the first place, they wouldn’t need to be “rescued” (if you can call living out their lives as prisoners, essentially, salvation).
Have you ever looked into a lion’s eyes at the zoo? They look like their soul has died.

Sometimes endangered species that are kept in captivity don’t necessarily act out their frustration.
They just develop really cute allergies:
Have a great weekend, and maybe try taking a simple step towards living greener this weekend.
Start a recycling program. Plant some fall veggies. Enjoy the nice fall weather and ride your bike or walk to the store for football game snacks. Every little step counts…no matter what the nay-sayers tell you.
