Plastic has been making lots of news recently. Have you noticed?

MetaEfficient.com just reported that major furniture retailer Ikea announced they will charge 5 cents per "disposable" plastic bag.
But while that's all fine and good, do you know why plastic bags are so bad for the environment?

It's not surprising who is number one, but it is surprising who else is on the list!! Personally, I actually find some of them hard to believe.
NBC's Today Show seems to feature at least one "green" story every day...on the days I actually get to watch it, that is.
